Objective
Carry out research in the field of Lean Management with the aim to develop new methodologies that will help to enhance various work flow processes, increase the efficiency of capacity utilization, and eliminate waste as well as to understand the use of mathematics to optimize the delivery of resources to a project particularly related to supply chain management and to understand the problems and efficiencies of project management, including assessment of delays and success factors in projects.

Course Description (Introduction to Engineering Design IE 201)
Introduction to active learning: team work, team dynamics, team norms and communication, conducting effective meetings and quality assessment. Problem solving procedure: problem definition, generation of solutions, selection methodology, solution implementation, assessment of implementation. Levels of learning and degrees of internalization. Ethical decision. Organization of the work and design notebook. Reverse engineering and design projects.
